In Hurdlr, any positive transaction from a linked checking account will pull into Hurdlr as an income transaction. This includes refunds you receive for expense purchases. If you need to change an income transaction that is actually an expense refund, you can do this in the Hurdlr web app.
To do this:
Click on the income transaction
Check the box that says “This is a refund”
Click “Save Details”
A pop up will appear on your screen letting you know that the income transaction has been moved to the Expenses tab as a refund.
To view and edit your refunds:
Navigate to the Expenses page
Change the "Type" filter from "All" to "Refunds"
Click the category field to recategorize the refund so it matches the original expense transaction
Note: Unlike a normal expense, refunds will have a blue note that says “Refund” and the amount will be positive.
If you need to un-do this you can click on the refund, select the checkbox that says “This is income” and click "Save Details". Doing this will convert your expense refund back to an income transaction, and you will be able to find it in the Income page.
