How do I add, edit, delete, or restore my Businesses in Hurdlr?

In Hurdlr, the different companies you own or work with (for example Uber, Airbnb, your Shopify shop, or your photography business) are called Businesses. You can track as many different businesses as you’d like in your Hurdlr account.

Income, expenses and mileage can all be tagged to a different Business. By tracking your data per business, you can keep your reporting separate and see your profitability per business at any time by generating a report for a particular business.

Adding a Business

  1. On the mobile app, tap 3 dots icon in the top left corner or on the web app, click the gear icon in the top right corner

  2. Select ‘Businesses’

  3. Click the ‘+’ icon in top right corner

  4. Enter the Business name, Type, and any optional information you wish to add about your business

  5. Click ‘Save’

Tagging Data to a Business

When you have multiple businesses set up, each time you tag a trip or transaction as business, you’ll be prompted to select which business it’s associated with.

Editing a Business

If you need to edit the details about your business, you can do so at any time by editing the business.

If you changed companies/brokerages or the company you’re working for has changed, you should not edit your business name. Instead you should create a new business and delete the old one. This ensures your previously tracked data remains intact and you can accurately track your new data moving forward.

To edit a business:

  1. On the mobile app, tap 3 dots icon in the top left corner or on the web app, tap the gear icon in the top right corner

  2. Select ‘Businesses’

  3. Choose the Business you want to edit

  4. Edit any of the fields

  5. Click the ‘Save’ button

Deleting a Business

If you’re no longer tracking a particular business, you can delete it, so it no longer shows up as an option to tag data to. Deleting a business does not impact your data and will only stop the business from showing up as an option to tag your data to moving forward.

To delete a business:

  1. On the mobile app, tap 3 dots icon in the top left corner or on the web app, tap the gear icon in the top right corner

  2. Select ‘Businesses’

  3. Choose the Business you do not want in your Hurdlr account

  4. Click ‘Delete Business’

Restoring a Business

You can easily restore a business that you’ve deleted at any time. Once a business is restored, you’ll be able to resume tagging trips and transactions to it.

To restore a business:

  1. On the mobile app, tap 3 dots icon in the top left corner or on the web app, tap the gear icon in the top right corner

  2. Select ‘Businesses’

  3. Click the triangle icon in the top right corner

  4. Select Archived

  5. Click on the business you want to restore

  6. Click ‘Restore Business’ at the bottom
