Are there any restrictions or filing cases that aren’t supported by April?

Updated today

Yes, April does have some tax filing restrictions/disqualifications that will prevent tax filers who meet certain criteria from being able to file through.

Situations not supported by April:

  1. Rental property income

  2. Form K-1

  3. Foreign income

  4. Foreign addresses

  5. Non-resident returns

  6. Taxpayers under the age 18 as of December 31, 2023

  7. Individuals with ITINs or ATINs

  8. Taxable refunds reported on Form 1099-G

  9. Adoption credits

  10. Multiple state filing

  11. Amendments

If you fall into any of these categories, then tax filing through April is not possible. That said, you can still download your Tax Reports to use when filing with a different filing software or tax preparer.
