How do I bill the time I've tracked in the Time & Tasks Dashboard? (Pro)

Hurdlr offers a Time & Tasks feature, which allows you to track your time for client billing purposes. When you’re ready to invoice your client, you can add the time you’ve tracked in Hurdlr directly to the invoice you create.

To Bill Tracked Time

  1. Make sure you have tagged the Time & Task entries to the appropriate client in the Time & Tasks Dashboard

  2. Navigate to the Invoicing Dashboard

  3. Create a new invoice for your client

  4. Click the ‘Time & Tasks’ button

  5. A list of entries that you’ve tagged to that client will load on the right side of the screen

  6. Select the checkbox next to each one you want included in the invoice

  7. Click ‘Save’

  8. Finish creating your invoice

If the rates for your tasks vary from the default hourly rate you set up in your Invoice Settings, you can click on the entry to edit the rate.

To set different hourly rates for different Tasks

You can set different hourly rates per task, which will override the default hourly rate set in your ‘Invoice Settings’.

You can set an hourly rate for a particular task by following these steps:

On the Mobile App

  1. Tap the 3 dots in the top left corner

  2. Select ‘Time & Tasks’

  3. Tap the gear icon in the top right

  4. Tap ‘Tasks’

  5. Tap on the task you want to set a rate for

  6. Enter the rate in the ‘Default Hourly Rate’ field

  7. Tap ‘Save’ in the top right corner

On the Web App

  1. Click the gear icon in the top right corner

  2. Select ‘Tasks’

  3. Click on the task or create your own custom task

  4. Enter the rate in the ‘Default Hourly Rate’ field

  5. Click ‘Save’ at the bottom

Understanding the Time You’ve Billed Your Client For

In the Time & Tasks section, you can use advanced filters to view the time entries that you’ve invoiced, not yet invoiced, or included in a drafted invoice. To filter your time:

On the Mobile App

  1. Tap the 3 dots in the top left corner

  2. Select ‘Time & Tasks’

  3. Click the gray bar that says ‘All’

  4. Change the filter to ‘Not Invoiced’, ‘Invoiced’, or ‘Drafted for Invoice’

  5. A list will load of all the time entries for that specific filter

On the Web App

  1. Click ‘Time & Tasks’ on the left side of your screen

  2. Change the filter Type to ‘Not Invoiced’, ‘Invoiced’, or ‘Drafted for Invoice’

  3. A list will load of all the time entries for that specific filter
