Finance Tracking for Pro Subscribers
Updated over a week ago

Since Hurdlr Pro tracks all transactions flowing into or out of your accounts, the web app tracks all deposits and withdrawals together in a streamlined Transactions Dashboard. This helps ensure accurate accounting by tracking all money flowing into and out of your accounts. This is different from Free and Premium users, who have separate Income and Expenses Dashboards, because they are doing more basic tracking where they aren’t tracking accounting transactions like transfers, credit card payments, assets, liabilities, equity, etc.

When looking at your totals, the Money In and Money Out totals are reflecting your cash flow, so they should not be confused as your business income and business expense totals. As needed, you can easily filter within the various views to see both business and personal income and expense totals.

The Transaction Dashboard is broken into 3 separate views: All Transactions, Money Out, and Money In.

The Transaction Dashboard navigation is only accessible through the Hurdlr web app. The mobile app does not have the full fledged accounting features, so the Income and Expense tabs in the mobile app will reflect your income and expense totals, not your money in/money out totals.

All Transactions

The All Transactions view will show the complete list of all transactions in your Hurdlr account, including expenses, income, bank transfers, asset, liabilities, equity, tax payments, etc. These transactions are labeled in the top left corner with what kind of transaction it is.

In the All Transactions view, you can use the filters to find your transactions by Type or Date. You can also adjust the number of Rows visible per page as needed.

By default, your transactions are listed untagged (newest to oldest) followed by tagged (newest to oldest). You can go through your transaction list to tag or edit transactions as needed.

Money Out

The Money Out view shows all of the withdrawal transactions, which represent money moving out of your accounts. The default view shows all Money Out transactions, which includes expenses, bank transfers, and all other transactions with a negative cash flow. It’s important to note that the Money Out total is not the same as your business expense total since it reflects all withdrawals including bank transfers and other advanced types of transactions.

To easily view only your business expenses, change the ‘Type’ filter to ‘Business’. For users who were previously using the Free or Premium version of Hurdlr, this filter would be the equivalent of the Expenses Dashboard displaying your business expenses. When filtered to the type ‘Business’, the total at the top will match your business expenses total.

To easily view only your personal expenses, change the ‘Type’ filter to ‘Personal’. For users who were previously using the Free or Premium version of Hurdlr, this filter would be the equivalent of the Expenses Dashboard displaying your personal expenses. When filtered to the type ‘Personal’, the total at the top will match your personal expenses total.

Money In

The Money In view shows all of the deposit transactions, which represent money moving into your accounts. The default view shows all Money In transactions, which includes income, expense refunds, or other transactions with a positive cash flow. It’s important to note that the Money In total is not the same as your business income total since it reflects all deposits including bank transfers and other advanced types of transactions.

To easily view only your business income, change the ‘Type’ filter to ‘Business’. For users who were previously using the Free or Premium version of Hurdlr, this filter would be the equivalent of the Income Dashboard displaying your business income. When filtered to the type ‘Business’, the total at the top will match your business income total in your income reports.

To easily view only your personal income, change the ‘Type’ filter to ‘Personal’. For users who were previously using the Free or Premium version of Hurdlr, this filter would be the equivalent of the Income Dashboard displaying your personal income. When filtered to the type ‘Personal’, the total at the top will match your personal income total.
